Chiaroscuro, 1996
In an exhibition at the Mala Galerija, I presented nine portraits (Rauschenberg, Picabia, Bourgeois, Warhol, Jakac, …) in a graphic technique using Expantex on canvas, basically a heat-transfer screen-print. This technique is used by designers making t-shirts. The portraits were done visually like images of our idols: Che Guevara, Tito, Jim Morrison. This represented a dialogue with artists, people who had an influence upon me.
